Mengfan studied Applied Psychology at Shannxi Normal University, China, and completed a research master's degree in Brain and Cognition and Psychological methods at the University of Amsterdam, Netherlands. Her current research uses data-driven approaches and neuroimaging methods to investigate the mental representations of aversive stimuli and establish treatment options for arachnophobia.
